EPOS Lavina 2 – an improved version of the EPOS Lavina device for guaranteed and fast destruction of data on hard drives and other magnetic media.

The device uses a physical method of destroying information on magnetic media using a powerful electromagnetic pulse. As a result of the impact of such a pulse, the magnetic working coating of the drive is completely re-magnetized, which leads to the complete destruction of all data and service information on the media.

This method is recommended by NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) to destroy (dispose of) confidential information from magnetic storage devices.
